Chanterelle Plus is a contemporary fine-dining restaurant in São Paulo's Vila Madalena, where Brazilian ingredients and classical French technique share the same plate. And the wine list is longer than most novels.

"We came for a birthday dinner and ended up staying nearly three hours. Nobody rushed us, nobody hovered. The duck dish alone was worth the reservation."
"I have been to a lot of restaurants in São Paulo and the wine list here is genuinely one of the most interesting I have encountered. Rodrigo knows his cellar inside out."
A tasting menu is not a test. It is not a performance. It is, at its simplest, a sequence of dishes chosen by the kitchen, designed to be eaten in a particular order, at a particular pace. If you have never done one before, the idea can feel slightly intimidating. It should not. Here is what to expect.

Beatriz Fontes grew up in Belo Horizonte and moved to São Paulo at 19 to study gastronomy at Senac. After graduating, she spent two years staging in Paris and Lyon, eventually taking a sous-chef position at a two-Michelin-star restaurant in Lyon's 6th arrondissement, where she worked for four years under chef Alain Meunier. She returned to Brazil in 2014 and spent three years consulting for hotel restaurants before opening Chanterelle Plus in March 2017. Outside the kitchen, she collects vintage cookbooks in French and Portuguese, and she makes a point of eating at a new restaurant every Sunday, wherever she happens to be. She believes the best thing a chef can do is stay curious.
For the tasting menu, yes, always. We keep a handful of a la carte tables available for walk-ins, but we cannot guarantee availability, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. The safest approach is to book online at least three days ahead. For weekend brunch, we strongly recommend a reservation.
Yes, and we ask that you let us know at least 24 hours before your reservation so the kitchen can prepare properly. We handle vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and most allergies without reducing the quality of the meal. What we cannot do is accommodate restrictions we hear about for the first time when you sit down.
Plan for two and a half hours, sometimes a little more if the conversation is good. We do not rush the table. If you have a hard finish time, tell us when you book and we will work around it.
There is a paid car park on Rua Wisard, about a four-minute walk from the restaurant. Vila Madalena is also well served by Uber and the metro, with the Vila Madalena station about 12 minutes on foot. We do not have valet parking.
